PHP 8.2 reaches end of life on 31 December 2026

PHP 8.2 stops receiving security fixes on 31 December 2026. PHP 8.1 already reached end of life at the end of 2025. Vulnerabilities found in those versions after their end-of-life date are not patched.

What to do: check which PHP version your site runs in cPanel (MultiPHP Manager or Select PHP Version, depending on your plan) and move to PHP 8.3 or newer. Update WordPress, your theme and your plugins first, since an outdated plugin is the usual reason a site breaks on a newer PHP.

Take a backup before you switch. If something breaks, switch back and open a ticket, and we will help you find what is holding the site back.
